The Mindful Athlete.. so it begins
Beats and Distrcit vision invited me to collaborate on The Mindful Athlete, a series of experiements that would explore the intersection of running, personal development and mindfulnes meditation. This initial pop up attempt at putting pre-recorded meditations into activation “booths” was the genesis for an idea that would form the brands firrst paid prodfuvt an an ongoing collaboration with New Balance.
The first experiment was executing and installing booths inside an onsite activation at Totokaedo. Each of our three booths contained a custom UX ipads, bricked with a nd a series of 2 minute meditations that i recorded and produced, throwing a series of deeper and reflective moment in a period of over-stimulation. Marathon fares, expos and events have become a sensory overload of email sign ups, geo-tags and a recepie for tired legs and minds, so; in the spirit of Brian Eno and Peter Schmidt, we threw a more reflective mood into the booths, recording a series of meditations that threw
